Micas gifted me these pieces to celebrate their birthday. All opinions are my own.
Micas is one of my all-time favorite brands, and they’re turning 5 years old! They sent me a box of suiting to celebrate, and I tried everything on so you can see how it fits on a curvy body.
Quick note for my curvy girls: Use code MEREDITH12 at checkout to get a little off your order. It’s a fun way to help them celebrate.
The Pants Test: Are They Curvy Girl Approved?
I check this first with every pair of pants, and Micas passed three for three. No waist gap, and they fit through the hips, thighs, and booty. If you’ve ever had a big difference between your waist and hips, you know how rare that is. When a brand fits you the right way, you keep going back to it.
Look 1: The Pinstripe Suit With a Modern Twist
This navy pinstripe set is a total showstopper. I’m in a medium top and large pants.
- The jacket: The shoulders are structured, and the tailoring looks luxe even though it’s very affordable. It’s a wrap-around jacket with a tie in the back so you can adjust the fit.
- The pants: There’s an asymmetrical, twisty gathered detail at the waist that makes it feel like 2026, not an ’80s power suit.
- The length: The sleeves run a little long, but that makes the whole thing look chic. The pants are long enough even in a heel.
I was speechless putting this on. Other brands should be taking notes.

Look 2: The Corset Top and Pinstripe Pants
This one looks like a corset over a white button-down, but it’s actually one top that closes with hook and eye all the way up. You don’t have to tuck in a shirt or fiddle with layers.
- The fit: The top has balloon sleeves and no stretch, but it’s comfortable. It cinches the waist and, for once, the bust sits where the top says it should.
- The pants: I’m in a size large, my usual in Micas pants. The pants have a working corset detail at the back, so you can loosen it if you have a booty like mine or tighten it if you want a closer fit. I love when clothes are made to work for different body shapes.
- The length: It works with a heel, and it would also work with sneakers or flats.

Look 3: The Burgundy Pants and Vest
This is an outfit of my dreams for fall.
- The pants: There’s an elastic waistband, and I was nervous about the front pleats because pleats and I don’t usually get along. But the booty doesn’t pull at the back, so the pleats hang the way they should. There’s also a little gold hardware peeking out under the vest.
- The vest: It has a structured shoulder, asymmetrical working buttons, and a tie in the back that accentuates the waist. It’s cropped enough to show a little midriff.
- The length: I’m 5’7″ and the pants are long enough with a heel on, which is rare.

Final Thoughts
I’m obsessed with all three. The fit, the tailoring, the details, and the adjustable waist elements show that Micas thinks about different bodies. And the price is great for how it looks and fits.
Happy birthday, Micas! Don’t forget to use code MEREDITH12 at checkout.
