When you think Western garb, you may automatically think, The Good The Bad and The Ugly. We aren’t going as far as dressing like a true cowboy, like the incredible costume design, but we are totally inspired by cowboy culture and Americana.
To point you in the right direction of creating a Western inspired outfit, I’ve put together 6 looks from VERY, an incredible and moderately priced vintage shop in Jersey City, which is the best place to find these items. The rad owners, Matt and Izzy, hand pick each item that is sold in their brick and mortar shop, located in downtown JC. They might have the best selection of, well, just about everything vintage…Thrasher t-shirts, 80s and 90s Nike and Adidas track jackets, some home goodies, a wide variety of vinyl, and the best selection of denim.
You won’t find the perfect worn in denim or suede anywhere other than a vintage shop, because they are impossible to recreate. Denim is the holy grail of vintage shopping. There’s just something super special about finding a perfectly beat up pair that are high waisted and hug your butt just right (personally speaking), from 20 years ago. And they only exist in the secondhand thrift world, which means there’s an even cooler element of vintage shopping, there’s a story behind every piece. (I’m also wondering why they don’t make denim like that anymore! (The vintage Levi’s fit PERFECTLY!)

We love Clint Eastwood and all, but we don’t want you in a head to toe Blondie costume, so I’m giving you a modern and fashionable frontier look. If you’ve always wanted to channel your modern inner cowboy/cowgirl nows your chance…we strongly encourgae it!
