On my Birthday, I Give to You!

In honor of my birthday, I wanted to give someone else a gift as opposed to receiving them.
I cut off 14” inches of hair, giving me the opportunity to donate a pony tail measuring in length if 12”!
I decided to choose Locks of Love, a non profit organization that is able to make wigs out of donated hair to give to children who are suffering from long term medical hair loss caused from any diagnosis.
My only prayer is that my hair will help a child regain their confidence and self esteem.
I feel so lucky and blessed to have been able to do this. I’ve had long hair my entire life, it has been a security blanket and a huge part of my identity. People
used to always tell me how lucky I was to have my long beautiful hair….and it always made me feel a certain type of way. Grateful yes, but yearning for sharing it with someone else.
