What I Wore | Winter Snow Land

What I wore in the Winter Wonderland! So excited because it FINALLY snowed in NJ, twice! If it’s going to be Winter, I want it to snow as much as possible! And for the sake of a good snow fall, it’s the perfect time to go out there to play and of course to document an outfit. Grabbed my camera gear, threw a plastic grocery bag over to protect it and then captured some fun shots in the snow!

There’s plenty of fun snow gear I’ve been wanting to wear and so for this look, I found this incredible blue coat from Kohl’s on sale for $40 [I’m wearing a size Medium]. I also bought my mom a matching one. Both her and I love wearing color. It’s rare to find us draped in muted neutral colors, even during the months that are filled with snow.

The jacket is the outfit because of its brightness and uniqueness. So I kept my top and bottom black so the blue could really pop in the white snow filled shots. Of course, I have a tried and true high waisted jean on that is curvy girl approved. And because I’m wild like that, I threw on a neon orange Carhart beanie for good measure. In most people’s book, it’s definitely an unpredictable pairing and probably also, unusual. I think most people are unsure how to wear color. Or they’re afraid to step outside of the box. But once you do it, it gets easier. Can we talk about how good the blue and orange work so well together?

These black platform boots have become one of my favorite winter boots this year. From H&M for $39, I find myself throwing them on with skinny jeans [on, what has become, the rare occasion I reach for them] or a matching loungewear set. I love the platform, as it gives me a sense of femininity, all while staying comfortable, even in the snow. And then to complete the look and add a touch of gold, I threw on my classic Gucci belt. I generally find myself wearing this belt only when I wear black. There’s just something so chic and elegant about it.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this look! Feel free to shop my look below! Now, time to go pray for more snow!
